SPALTED BIRCH contemporary side / coffee table - beautiful one off handmade , natural, sculptural, scandi, live edge

This is a stunningly beautiful sculptural side table made from a seasoned section of Birch wood from a tree in Hampshire.

It is spalted - that is highly patterned and coloured by a fungal infection when the tree was alive (no fungus now!) resulting in attractive and unique lines, patterns and colours in addition to the expected tree rings and grain.

Height from floor to top is 39cm and it rests on three sealed Beech legs which can easily be unscrewed for transport.

The dimensions of the top are 54 x 45cm at widest points. The size is ideal for a side table or for a feature/ coffee table in a smaller area. Thre table is unique is size and colour.

Weight is 6.6kg, the top is very smooth and finished in several coats of matt acrylic finish to give a subtle natural look. Although waterproof, it is recommended to use a coaster when placing drinks on it to avoid the possibility of marking.
