explain limited edition artist prints?
Each print is individually handmade and hand printed by me. Every time I make a print the amount of ink, the pressure applied and the paper orientation will vary slightly meaning that each print is unique. I specify the number of prints (e.g. 40) that will be made from each block and each is individually numbered and signed.
CARE NOTES FOR TABLES
Your table has been coated with 3 layers of Acrylic MATT varnish which is water based.
This coating is water resistant - as long as liquid spills are wiped up quickly, it should not mark.
We do advise using coasters to prevent marks.
Should the surface become scratched or require refinishing then we recommend sanding with fine paper (120 or 180 grit) and/or rubbing with fine steel wool(000 or 0000 grade) before re-coating with a couple of coats of Matt acrylic varnish available online or from DIY outlets
Note that wood is a natural products and movement in the wooden table is possible. It is important to keep tables out of direct sunlight or very high temperatures as this is likely to induce cracks in the table top

frame options
The standard frames we use are minimal black or white which gives a clean contemporary look. The frames use plexiglass/acrylic in place of picture glass to aid safety and to prevent breakages in transit.
If you would like a print framed in a different size then please contact us using the form above to get a quote.
TELL US MORE ABOUT the LIGHT BOXES?
Our light boxes are super slim with very thin black frame and feature a very uniform LED glow.
They are supplied with a transformer and cable and need to be plugged in to the mains (UK plug).
The boxes emit significant light into a room - not enough to read by but plenty to act as a focal point, drawing the viewer to the exquisite fibres of the handmade paper as well of course to the printed image which appears to float in a sea of light.
The lightboxes feature a pocket into which the paper is slid, so it is possible to buy several print designs from us to rotate the one on display.
more on bespoke PRINT options
As each tree ring print is hand printed I can print any block design in any colour including metallic gold, siver and copper. I can also reference pantone colours or match a coloured item of yours
Prints can be created on any size paper you wish.
I can also create unique prints from your own wood - see more in the bespoke prints section of the shop.
The title of prints canalso be customised.
are the MATERIALS WE USE environmentally friendly?
No trees are felled by us to make any prints. What we do is to use wood from trees that have been cut down by others as they are dangerous, diseased or felled for some other essential reason. We then re-purpose a slice of log in order to celebrate the hidden beauty within.
The paper used to make the tree prints is made from renewable plant sources by famous Awagami Mill in Japan.
The oil based inks are made in the UK.. According to the Safety Data Sheet ‘the product does not present hazards for humans or the environment’.

CARE NOTES FOR garden sculptures
Your garden art has been coated with 2 coats of a specific protective product called OSMO UV PROTECTION OIL EXTRA (420)
This contains filters that protect against UV rays to reduce the likelihood of the wood greying. It also contains biocides to minimise build up of mould.
If you wish to retain the bright, original colour of the wood then you should recoat with the same product around 1.5 years later.
Before re-coasting, give the wood a very light sand with 120 grit Paper or a fine or medium steel wool.
If you want the wood to grey then you can either leave it without Additional finishing OR use a varnish such as OSMO Polyx Oil which does not contain UV filters.
Note that wood is of course a natural product and movement or splitting is possible.
