Printed from a section of PINE tree from Berrow Hill, Worcs that had to be felled due to safety concerns

This is an unusual tree ring print in that it looks like there is a star image in the middle. Pine puts out lots of branches as it grows, and most of these die off as the tree priorities top branches to gain the most light. The ‘petals’ of the stzr shape are part of branches that have formed inside the trunk which would appear a few cm higher up the trunk.
